Bressanone Cathedral
Bressanone Cathedral dates back to the 10th century, although the original building has been altered on a number of occasions throughout its history. Beneath the largely Baroque elements, you can, however, still find traces of the Gothic and Romanesque. Of particular note are the elaborate frescoes and paintings that decorate the church.
Museums
From the Diocesan Museum and Pharmacy Museum in Bressanone to the monastery at Novacella or the Museum of Archaeology in Bolzano, South Tyrol has a wide range of interesting museums. Ideal for culture lovers!
Towns in South Tyrol
South Tyrol also has other towns worth visiting, including Chiusa, Vipiteno, Merano, Bolzano and Brunico - all are close to Bressanone and can be easily reached by car or train.
